Which one is better for it? Also which of these cases are better?

Silicone all the way , the hard case damages the iphone if its to loose or if it doesn’t close properly, once i accidentally dropped my iphone with the silicone from a small flight of stairs nothing happened to it.

I’d go with the silicone, but I don’t know how much it would protect the iPhone 3g if you drop it. If you get the hard case, the impact of the drop would damage it, but that depends on where it’s dropping from.
