November 19th, 2009Are Iphone Apps And Ipod Touch Apps The Same?
Does the iPod Touch have all of the same applications that an iPhone does? If not, what apps DOES the iPod Touch have?
I really want to get an iPod Touch, but mostly because I want the applications (I want the iPhone but that’s NEVER happening) so I don’t want to be let down when I get it and there aren’t as many of the cool applications!

Yes I have an iPod touch and some of the reviews for applications are by people who say they used it on the iPhone. But some of the applications are only for the iPhone, such as Shazam, which requires a mic that the iPod touch doesn’t have.

it only works one way, usually. all the apps for ipod are available for iphone, but not the other way. some use GPS like “imapmyrun” and ipod doesnt have GPS, yet
. but most are for ipod. many also work with ipod, but require a mic like “isteam” or “ifog”. you should get an itouch, its great. but its not up to me

Yes. But some only work for iPhone because of the mic that you need. but you can buy headphones with a mic built on it.
I am using the headphones that are supposed to be used with the blackberry pearl. They work perfectly. it’s just harder to control sometimes.

Yes.
But some of apps are for iphone only, and don’t work for ipod touch.
Such as “megaphone”,you have to have a microphone for that, only the iphone has the microphone.

They both have the same applications, but the iphone has an advantage because you could blow through the microphone on only a few apps to make noises or fog up a window or something.
