Mario game nintendo can make money with that if they want to work with apple
Call of duty game records like kill streak, leader boards. (they have it for the G1)
Actual tv. so you can watch shows
a nice daily reminder app. like a schedule with different fonts, color the text, different size font. Looking back at recent dates.
A holiday app would be cool

Currently there are about 18000 apps in apps store. But still there is lots of potential.
I have created dedicated website and forums to share the iPhone apps ideas. One example is to create lots of mash-up apps ( ie. to combine 2 or 3 functionalities in 1 app)
Second thing is to think about the complete business solution ( eg. what a freelance contractor would need .. and combining those functionalities in one app )
