Please forgive sambo89, he has never touched an iPhone.
Yes the Nokias suck, we all know that.
The iPhone does not.
Check the http://www.apple.com/iphone site for all the information you seek. It does exactly what apple says it will do, nothing more, nothing less. What is amazing about the iPhone is that it will continue to grow and it’s incredible user interface.
The iPhone does not have picture texting like you are used to. This is the most common way viruses are passed from mobile to mobile. Apple has offered a safe alternative. You take the pic and then can send it as an email attachment. Basically you tap your pic, tap the send as email icon, enter an address or select from your address book and then type a message if you wish. The recipient will get the email and can view your pic instantly. Easy peasy.
Good luck and enjoy.

okay i strongly reccommend you do not get an iphone! i know you’re excited about getting this one, and it will probably be hard to sway you, but they seriously play up something chronic, like all touch-screens; they just havent got any of them to be quite reliable and made to last a decent amount of time just yet, not to mention they are not yet priced anywhere near what they’re really worth. if you really want an iphone, in my honest opinion from personal and best experience, you’re best to wait until the second or even third type of iphone is released because these models will have been upgraded from the first iphone that you want, from any of the faults yours had in it. it is always a bad idea to get the first model of a brand new type of phone, simply because they havent yet been used by the public and therefore the maufacturers are not aware of what they have to fix and imporve in them, to be put in the next best model of phone in that series. this happened with the Nokia N90’s aswell. everyone got so excited when the first model was released and raced into stores to purchase but they just had so many problems, the yswitched off, they…and now the Nokia N95 8 GB are the fourth model in the N series that they have made they are excellent, flash and reliable phones, they have been able to improve on this phone evidentally, and the people with the first one are really regretting not waiting. i could go on forever about this but please consider this point, especially when thinking about touch screens because the touch screens are known to be the worst possible phone to rely on. My family owns and i work in a phone store and have customers sending their brand new iphones back EVERYDAY to be repaired! its not worth it, you truly are better off waiting. but, i guess its up to you.
